Man hit by two bullets in Port Arthur drive-by shooting

A man is in the hospital after he was shot twice in a drive-by shooting early Monday morning.

A news release issued by the Port Arthur Police Department says the shooting happened around 4:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of West 6th Street.  The victim told police he was leaving a friend's house when two men in a car began firing in his direction.  After the victim was hit by at least two bullets, the men in the car drove away.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Police say the shooters are still at large.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Port Arthur Police Department at 409-983-8600.
