Port Arthur I.S.D. stays quiet about complaint against Superintendent

Posted: Updated:

The Port Arthur Independent School District offered no comment after board members met for almost four hours in executive session Tuesday over a complaint against Superintendent Dr. Johnny Brown.

Dr. Brown has been absent from work for more than a month and the school district has not given a reason for his absence.

P.A.I.S.D. also discussed the performance of Dr. Brown in his capacity as superintendent but did not comment on that either.

Deputy Superintendent Dr. Mark Porterie has taken on the duties as superintendent in Brown's absence.

The board will meet again on December 13th.
