The US Coast Guard is investigating a fire that damaged a tugboat that was traveling the Intracoastal Waterway in Port Arthur.

The fire was reported around midnight aboard the "Joanna Marie" which was traveling eastbound.

Four crew members were on board but there are no injuries reported.

The tugboat was towed to the bank and is sitting between the West Port Arthur Bridge and Taylor's Bayou.

Port Arthur Police and Fire, the Vessel Traffic Service and the Texas General Land Office all assisted.
