Injured people from Thanksgiving morning's multiple-vehicle pileup on Interstate 10 have been taken to four hospitals in the Beaumont-Port Arthur area and at least one person was taken to Baytown.

Two people were taken to the hospital early Thanksgiving morning following a one-vehicle accident on County Road 3125 in Newton County.

Department of Public Safety dispatch was called about the accident just before 3 a.m.

A trooper on the scene told a 12 News photographer it appears the vehicle was going too fast when it ran off the road and into the woods.

One person was taken to the hospital by air rescue. A second was taken by ambulance.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office, Deweyville Fire Department and Little Cypress Fire Department assisted the DPS.
