The Humane Society in Beaumont is thankful Thanksgiving week for a group of boy scouts from Orange. The "Den 4 Pac 311" donated 700 pounds of dog and cat food to the shelter on Tuesday.
That's not all. They also donated $1,300.
The boy scouts spent the weekend in front of Wal-Mart asking for donations. Those donations were then handed over to the shelter.
The group decided to do this fundraiser for their service project after seeing a Humane Society sign that said the shelter needed food.
