Man shot twice after argument at Beaumont club

Posted: Updated:

A man is recovering from a gunshot wound as police work to find out just how the shooting happened.

Just after 2 a.m. Sunday officers were called to the 300 block of Orleans Street where a 911 caller said someone had been shot.  Officers say when they got to the address there who knew anything about a shooting.

A short while later officers were called to Baptist Hospital in Beaumont where a man had just arrived with two gunshot wounds.  Officers say the man had a gunshot to the lower abdomen and to the lower left leg.

There was a witness to the shooting at the hospital who said the gunshot victim had been involved in an argument with the shooter at a club earlier in the evening, but said they had no other details.

No arrests have been made.
