Beaumont firefighters are investigating a blaze that destroyed a house while the home owner was away Wednesday morning.

The fire happened just after 2 a.m. at a home located at 1915 Lucille Street in south Beaumont. The house was fully involved with fire as firefighters arrived.

Investigators say the people who live at the house were found unharmed at another location. The American Red Cross is assisting them with living arrangements.

The home is considered a total loss.
