SETX parties discuss V.P. debate

Posted: Updated:

The Tea Party of Southeast Texas gathered for a watch party at Mazzio's Thursday in Beaumont to catch the debate.

While there was no watch party for the Progressive Democrats of Southeast Texas the organization gathered for it's monthly meeting.

They were joined by a few members from the college republicans at Lamar University.

Both the Tea Party and College Republicans were very interested in seeing what Paul Ryan had to bring to the table.

The groups say they are very impressed with Ryan's grasp of the issues at his age.

The Progressive Democrats of Southeast Texas only spoke briefly about the debate before ending their meeting and going home to catch the debate.

After talking to a few of the Democrats, they had a positive outlook on Vice-President Biden's chances tonight, calling him someone the American people can relate to.

Both groups feel that tonight's debate could be turning point in the November election.

People get two more chances to watch a presidential debate but only one chance to see the men who stand behind the presidential candidates
