Armed robbers take pizza, face prison if caught

Posted: Updated:

A free pizza was enough to entice a man and woman in Beaumont to commit an armed robbery early Saturday morning.

Officers say just after midnight they were called to the 2300 block of Pierce Street in Beaumont's north end where a delivery person from Dominoes Pizza had just been robbed.

The driver told police he was making a delivery. When he got out of his car he was approached by a man and woman. The male robber pulled out a small caliber silver automatic handgun and demanded the food.

The driver gave the male robber the pizza and the robbers ran away.

Police say the male robber was around 18-19 years old and had a slender build. He was around 5'8" tall and was wearing a white shirt and a baseball cap. The driver said the female robber was "chubby" with short red hair. She is in her late teens. She was wearing a blue and white shirt.

Police said the address given for the pizza order was a vacant house.

If the robbers are caught, the pizza could end up costing each from 5 to 99 years in prison.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Beaumont Crime Stoppers at (409) 833-TIPS. You do not have to give your name and could be eligible for a cash reward. You can also use the link on the left side of this page to give Crime Stoppers an on-line tip.
