Lamar hosts softball tryouts on Sept. 6-7
BEAUMONT, Texas – The Lamar University softball team will conduct open tryouts for the 2013 season from 4-5:30 p.m. Sept. 6 and 7 at Ford Park Field No. 1.
The tryouts are open to all eligible Lamar students. All players trying out must fill out a tryout information form and waiver along with providing proof of a physical exam and a sickle-cell test from a physician and proof of medical insurance.
The tryout information and waiver forms along with a detailed tryout policy pamphlet are available online at LamarCardinals.com. There is no cost for the tryout.
Lamar, which had softball from 1983-1987, is bringing back softball this spring. The Lady Cardinals will play a full Southland Conference schedule this upcoming season.
