4 dead in Jasper County accident

Four people are dead including two children following a  head on collision northwest of Jasper County.

According to the Department of Public Safety the victims are all from Woodville and are identified as:

  • Driver: 28-year-old Christopher Lemond Douglas
  • Passengers killed are: 37-year-old Stacey Rae Henry, 13-year-old Tyra Moye and 11-year-old Tiara Moye.

The collision happened around 8:30 p.m. Friday on Recreational Road 255 near County Road 20.  This is northeast of Colmesneil.

A DPS spokesperson says all four who were killed were in a Jeep Cherokee that crossed the center lane and struck the a Ford pickup truck head on.

The driver of the truck is identified as 49-year-old Bryan Paul Baker of Kountze. The DPS says he is listed in poor condition with internal injuries and broken bones.
