Driver handcuffed after OC accident

One person is hurt and another may be facing charges after a wreck in Orange County.

The accident happened just before 11 p.m. Wednesday on FM 1131 in north Vidor.  The Texas Department of Public Safety has not released details on how the collision between two pickup trucks happened.

One of the trucks came to a stop upside down.  Emergency workers at the scene said the person driving the truck was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the other truck, identified as Derrick Dees, 28, was given a field sobriety test before being taken away in handcuffs.

He has been charged with 1st offense driving while intoxicated. 

S spokesperson for the Orange County Sheriff's Office tells 12newsNow.Com Dees has been released after posting $500 bond.
