Name released in PA fatal accident - 12 News KBMT and K-JAC. News, Weather and Sports for SE Texas

Port Arthur police say 55-year-old Aurelio Lares of Port Arthur was killed Monday evening in a  collision on Highway 365.  The accident happened in front of Crazy 8's Pool Hall.

Police say the accident happened around 6:30 p.m.  A witness told them Lares' truck was swerving and he did not have his headlights turned on.  The witness told officers Lares' truck swerved into oncoming traffic and hit another pickup truck head on.

Lares was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jefferson County Justice of the Peace Tom Gillam has ordered an autopsy.

The other driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
