Firefighters in Vidor say they were able to prevent a storage building fire from spreading to a restaurant early Friday morning.

The fire was reported around 3:30 a.m.  A storage building in the back of the Hushpuppy Seafood Restaurant on North Main Street in Vidor was in flames when fire crews arrived.  The restaurant is just north of Interstate 10 in the 1200 block of Main Street.

Orange County Emergency Services District No. 1 Fire Chief Bryant Champaign tells 12newsNow.Com firefighters were successful in stopping the fire from spreading to the main building of the restaurant.

It took around two hours to put out the fire and all of the hot spots.  Bridge City, Little Cypress, Mauriceville and Buna fire departments all assisted in putting out the fire.

The cause is under investigation.

There are no injuries reported.
