5-year-old hit by vehicle in Nederland

Google.Com Map shows location of Helena Park Elementary

A 5-year-old boy was taken to the hospital Monday afternoon after being hit by a vehicle near Helena Park Elementary School.

The accident was reported around 3:10 p.m. near the intersection of Helena Avenue and North 31st Street.

The boy's injuries are reported to be non-life threatening. Police say he was taken to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth to be checked out.
