COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS (KCEN) --  An 86-year-old woman is doing well after her car was struck by a train in College Station Sunday afternoon.

The woman, identified as Mary Bell of College Station, was in her 2004 Cadillac Deville over a set of railroad tracks at the intersection of Wellborn Road and Holleman Dr. around 12:30 p.m. when the railroad lights began flashing red and the crossing arm came down on her car, alerting her of the oncoming train.

Bell's vehicle then stalled as she attempted to back off the tracks.

After failing to restart the vehicle, Bell then exited on foot to a safe distance.

Soon after, the train collided with her vehicle.

Bell was not injured.

College Station Police closed the intersection for three hours to clean debris.
