Temple Man Robs Store, Returns Hours Later

TEMPLE, TX (KCEN) -- Police arrested a man that returned to a convenience store only hours after allegedly robbing it Saturday morning.

Temple Police have arrested 45-year-old Donevia Chafford as the suspect of the possibly robbery of the Cefco Convenience Store located at 605 North 3rd Street in Temple.

The robbery occurred around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning when Chafford entered the store demanding money while appearing to hold a hidden weapon.

Chafford then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police were then called back to the store around 9 a.m. when Chafford was again seen inside the store.

Chafford left in a vehicle where he was then stopped and arrested by police where he was taken to Bell County Jail.

Police are still investigating the incident.
