A memorial service for Sharon West is scheduled for Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Hamshire.

Two weeks ago skeletal remains were positively identified as being from the Fannett teenage. West went missing last July.

West's disappearance and death remain under investigation.

OBITUARY FROM BROUSSARD'S

Sharon René West, 15, of Hamshire, died Friday, October 28, 2011. A native and lifelong resident of the area, Sharon was a student at Hamshire-Fannett High School, Hamshire.

Survivors include her father, Lynn West of Hamshire; mother, Sandy West of Houston; grandparents, Thelma and Eugene West of Colmesneil; sister, Kaylynn West; brother, Josh West; and numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family members.

Her memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Hamshire, 25304 Highway 124, Hamshire, under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

A family committal will be held at Broussard's Crematorium.
