School bells will soon be ringing at a new public charter school in Beaumont.
Construction continues at Triumph Church, where Vista Academy of Beaumont will be located.
The charter school offers a free education to students in Kindergarten through the 4th grade.
The first day of classes at the new school is August 22nd.
Principal Sherry Hanson says parents are thankful for a new choice in the area.
"They're just so excited to have a difference choice you know, an alternative choice, and they're excited about the smaller classrooms, they're excited about the nurturing, they're excited about the curriculum," says Hanson.
The school can accept up to 220 students and is filling up quickly.
There will be an open house at Triumph Church on Eastex Freeway Sunday, August 7th at 4:00 PM.
