Hunt County Judge Tittle assigned Greenville attorneys to the suspects being held in connection with the death of 2-year old Brandon Herrera.

Vega & Ortiz went before Tittle today at 1:30pm

Atty. Denis Davis will represent Aguilar Vega, Jr   &   Atty. Jack Paris, Jr. will represent Gabrielle Ortiz.

Tittle says both suspects filed their application for a court appointed attorney Wednesday morning and he wanted to process it them as soon as possible.

At this time, the two have no future court appointments at this time.

Arturo Vega, 23, and Gabriela Ortiz, 22, are facing capital murder charges in connection to the death of toddler Brandon Herrera. Police said Herrera died from massive blunt force trauma.

The suspect's names were not released Monday because police were not able to find Brandon Herrera's mother. Through the investigation Monday, both parents individually as well as several family members contacted the sheriff's office and were interviewed.  Police are not saying what came out of those interviews.

The couple's three year old daughter who was found unharmed remains in the custody of CPS.
