Arrest made in the April murder of a Jasper barber

The Jasper County Sheriff's office made an arrest today for the April murder of a Jasper barber shop owner.

27-year-old Joe Nathan David, of Jasper arrested this afternoon and is charged with murder.

A Grand Jury indicted David on murder charges this morning and an arrest warrant was issued in connection to the killing of 33-year-old Curtis Shaun Hubbard.

Hubbard was found shot to death inside his Ford Excursion on the morning of April 3rd.

At the time, Jasper County Sheriff Mitchell Newman told 12 News HD that his deputies found Hubbard "slumped over on the steering wheel."

The sport utility vehicle was found littered with bullet holes and broken glass.

Jasper County Sheriff Mitchell Newman went to David's House with the Texas Marshal's Service and Jasper police to make the arrest.
