SETX high school football teams and parents gear up for playoffs

The West Brook Bruins Booster Club is working hard before the Bruins start their playoff run tomorrow night

BEAUMONT - The high school football playoff journey for many Southeast Texas high schools begins tonight, while other teams are preparing for their team to take the field this weekend.

The West Brook Bruins booster club is making preparations for tomorrow’s big game against the Longview Lobos at the “Butch” Thomas Center.

Today, West Brook parents were able to pick up their playoff tee shirts at Durley Stadium's field house.

Bruins Booster Club president Lisa Kethley says they sold 350 playoff tee shirts.

She believes fellow West Brook parents are excited for tomorrow's game.

"We're ready to back our Bruins,” Kethley said.

Kethley has been president of the booster club for this season. She says that playoff football is her favorite time of the year.

“We want them to go all the way and uh being that we're in a new district this year we had a lot of news, lot of new things happen. I mean our season has been great. We are going in with one loss for the whole season so can't complain," Kethley said.
