STOCKTON, Calif. – Kiandra Bowers registered her 26th career double-double, but the Lamar University Cardinals dropped an 80-75 decision to the host Pacific Tigers in a non-conference women’s basketball game Thursday night.

Bowers finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Cardinals (4-4). Moe Kinard led LU with 20 points.

GeAnna Luaulu-Summers led Pacific (4-2) with 24 points.

The Cardinals had a 12-point lead early in the fourth quarter, but made just one of their final 10 field-goal attempts as the Tigers rallied for the win.

Jadyn Pimentel had 13 points for LU, while Kyla Green finished with 12 points. Chastadie Barrs had nine points, five assists and three steals. Barrs has at least one steal in all 69 games of her career.

The Cardinals return to Beaumont on Friday to prepare for Monday’s 7 p.m. game vs. Schreiner at the Montagne Center. After that contest, the team takes a break for final exams before closing the non-conference schedule with a contest at New Mexico on Dec. 20. Santa will be available for pictures at Monday’s game starting at 6:30 p.m.
