WOS survives and advances over Madisonville 28-26

Blake Robinson comes up with two INT's to help in the Mustangs win

PORTER - The West Orange-Stark Mustangs were able to withstand a furious rally by Madisonville to win their 3rd round playoff game 28-26 at Texan Drive Stadium in Porter.

Blake Robinson came up with his second interception of the game late in the 4th quarter to seal the victory after the "Chain Gang" defense stopped a critical 2-point conversion that could have tied the game.

Madisonville led after the first quarter 7-0 on a touchdown pass from Ben Phillips to Kasey Williamson of 14 yards.

Kayven Cooper put the WOS Mustangs on the board with a 16 yard TD run in the second quarter...and QB Chaka Watson added a 2 yard TD run for a 14-7 lead.

It was the 38th win in a row for WOS, who will face the winner of Saturday's game between Salado and Bellville in the state quarterfinals next week.
