With their 46-22 win over Colmesneil on Friday night, the Sabine Pass Sharks locked up their first playoff spot in football in five years.
After going 0-10 last season and ending an 18 game losing streak in Week Two of the season, the Sharks have added new enthusiasm to the community.
At 6-3 with one game left in the regular season, Sabine Pass has secured their first winning season since 1983.
The Sharks close out the regular season Friday at Evadale and then will face state power Tenaha Thursday November 10 at Lumberton HS.
