Friday night in District 22-5A was one for the ages. Over 13,000 fans at The Reservation witnessed Port Neches-Groves end their six-game losing streak against arch-rival Nederland. The Indians topping the bulldogs 41-21.
Then over at The Boneyard, Vidor shocked the world by handing Port Arthur Memorial their first loss of the season. With the win the Pirates created a three way tie atop the district standings. Meaning Vidor, Memorial and PNG all earn a share of the championship.
For the pirates it's their first since 1978. After the game Blitz sideline reporter Lance Edwards caught up with Head Coach Jeff Mathews.
