LB from the Super Bowl champion Patriots played for the Memorial Titans and Houston Cougars

PORT ARTHUR - With family and friends packing the sports wing of the Museum of the Gulf Coast, LB Elandon Roberts of the Super Bowl champion Patriots was recognized as the latest inductee.

Roberts was an All-District LB for the Memorial Titans, helping them to the regional semifinals in 2011.

He was named to the PA News Super Team, marking the first time that he visited the Museum.

Six years later he has added his name to the list of sports greats from SETX, including Jimmy Johnson, Bum Phillips and Stephen Jackson.

After an impressive senior season for the Houston Cougars, Roberts was drafted in the 6th round after an impressive pro day at UH.

He also announced he is forming an Elandon Roberts Foundation to help raise money to help fight heart disease.  He is planning a walk at Memorial HS July 15 at 8 am with a 7 on 7 football tournament to follow around 10 am.
