Astros head into All-Star break on historic pace

The Astros are the 5th team in the last 40 years to have 60 wins before the All-Star break.

HOUSTON - Earlier today the Astros won their 60th game before the All-Star break in a 19-1 massacre over the Blue Jays.

The Astros are the 5th team in the last 40 years to have 60 wins before the All-Star break.

They have a 16.5 game lead over the Angels and Rangers who are tied for a distant second.

The ‘Stros have a legitimate case for 3 MVP candidates in their all-star starters.
George Springer, Jose Altuve, and Carlos Correa. The rest of their offense is only rivaled by the likes of the 1930's Yankees.

Altuve is back to his usual tricks, hitting a measly .347 with 18 steals

Springer has an Astros record 27 home runs before the All-Star break.

Correa with his 19th and 20th home runs today holds 3 of the 4 spots for home runs by
a short stop in franchise history.

So if you’re an Astros fan, sit back, relax, enjoy the All-Star game, on Tuesday, and get ready for a spectacular second half.
