Young girl, who captured the heart of SETX, passes away

Students and staff at West Brook High School are reflecting on the two year bond they formed with a young cancer patient.

Julia Cobb, 8, had Ewing's Sarcoma, a form of bone cancer. She lost her fight Tuesday while on a trip to Disney World.

West Brook High School's student activities director Kristi Fuselier learned of her cancer fight, and she, along with her students and others in Beaumont's west end community, rallied support for Julia and her family, holding many fundraisers for them.

Julia passed away today in Orlando, on the last day of her Make-a-Wish trip to Disney World.

"There was a light about Julia that not a lot of people have," said Student Activities Director, Kristi Fuselier.

Cobb's family is in need of financial support for funeral services. You can make contributions at West Brook High School.
