Liberty County sheriff's deputies say two people are presumed dead after a plane stalled and crashed in the Trinity River Saturday evening. The crash happened about a mile from Highway 105 around 7 p.m.
One witness says it looked like the pilot was doing tricks when something went wrong.
"He went up to a certain height, then he came straight down doing a barrel roll. I heard the engine stop and the next thing I knew, he crashed into the river," said Joann Gaines, who saw the crash happen.
Investigators aren't sure how many people were on board the plane when it went down.
