An early morning neighborhood patrol led to the arrest of two Vidor men who police say were in possession of a controlled substance.
According to a Vidor Police Department spokesperson, several officers were on foot patrol in the 1900 block of Dogwood around 3:40 a.m. Friday when they noticed a person walking a couple of hundred yards ahead of them.
Moments later officers heard dogs barking in the same area the person was last seen.
The officers checked the area to find two men removing items from the cab of a pick up truck.
After approaching the men, later identified at Daron Dylan Skiles and Albert "buster" Glenn Duke both of Vidor, officers found each man to be in possession of methamphetamine.
During the investigation officers found more methamphetamine and related drug paraphernalia items during the search of a nearby residence.
Both men were transported to the Orange County Jail and book on one count each of possession of a controlled substance.
Their bonds were set at $1,000 on each count.
