Two men are in jail and police are obtaining a warrant for a third following the armed robbery of a restaurant and a customer in Lumberton.
Shortly after 10 p.m. officers were called to the Little Caesar's Pizza located at 837 North Main St. in Lumberton. Employees told police that a gunman demanded cash, and then ran away.
While the gunman was inside the restaurant, an accomplice was in the parking lot. He robbed a woman at gunpoint as she was waiting to pick up an employee from work.
A short while later police spotted a vehicle leaving at a high rate of speed and began chasing it when the driver refused to pull over. The suspect vehicle crashed after the chase got into Beaumont. Three people ran from the car.
The driver was quickly caught. A K-9 was used and a second suspect was found a short while later. Both were taken to the Hardin County Jail and have been charged with aggravated robbery.
A news release issued by the Hardin County Sheriff's Office says officials have learned the identity of the third suspect and are working to get an arrest warrant.
