Two Groves teens arrested for threatening students over social media

Two 14-year-old boys have been taken into custody after threatening to harm a student over social media over the weekend.

Groves Police say the student named in the threatening posts was immediately notified. Investigators searched the homes of the suspects and determined the two teens did not possess means to carry out the threat.

They say both confessed to posting the threats when they were questioned.

The two teens are now charged with making a terroristic threat which is a third degree felony.

The boys are currently being held at the Minnie Rogers Juvenile Justice Center in Beaumont.
