Trial continues in intoxication manslaughter case

Testimony Wednesday is in its third day in the trial of a Beaumont woman accused of driving drunk and killing a bicyclist.

Christy Renee Arceneaux is charged with one count of intoxication manslaughter in the August 3, 2011 death of Carol Roberta Lewis.

According to 12News file stories, Lewis was riding her bike in the 300 block of South M.L.K. Parkway in Beaumont the afternoon of August 3, 2011.  Arceneaux's 2003 Toyota hit Lewis .  She was taken to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, but doctors were unable to save her life.
