Just weeks after enrolling early at the University of Alabama former Ozen Panther Tony Brown was arrested.
Over the weekend Tuscaloosa Police responded to a loud party at the Campus Way Apartments.
According to the police department's media release around one this morning Chavis Taylor was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
As officers were walking Taylor to a patrol unit a crowd gathered around the officers, including Tony Brown. After multiple warnings the Alabama football and track athlete yelled threatening profanity and stepped towards officers according to the report. At that time officers grabbed brown to take him into custody, but he pulled away resisting.
Pepper spray was used and he was taken to the Tuscaloosa county jail along with Taylor. The 18 year-old-brown was charged with failure to obey and resisting arrest. Bond was set at 15-hundred dollars.
Alabama head coach Nick Saban was aware of the arrest and "will handle it appropriately once he has a chance to review all of the information."
I attempted to contact Brown's family for a comment but was unable.
