Teen sentenced following assault on teacher, assistant principal

A former Port Arthur Memorial High School Student Monday pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault of a public servant.

Jaylon Marquiz Trahan was sentenced to 180 days in jail and 10 years on probation. He will also have to pay a $500 fine on each count.

Trahan pleaded guilty to assaulting the assistant principal and a teacher at the Motiva Youth Training Academy.  Police believe Trahan was on drugs when the incident occurred.
