A 46-year-old man is in stable condition after police say he was stabbed by a 17-year-old girl in Beaumont Tuesday night.
Police say the stabbing happened around 8 p.m. as the victim been arguing with a 13-year-old boy at a car wash located on Washington Boulevard at Avenue B. Officers say a 17-year-old girl, a cousin of the boy involved in the argument, used a knife to attack the 46-year-old.
A police spokesperson said the teenage girl fled the scene after the stabbing. The spokesperson said the man received at least one stab wound to his upper body.
The stabbing victim was taken by ambulance to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.
Detectives have taken statements from the 13-year-old boy and other witnesses.
Police have not yet located the teenaged suspect.
