Port Neches teen arrested at the Pompano Club

The Port Neches Police Chief said he is going to make sure there is more security next year at an annual high school gathering.

This comes after a student was arrested at the "Aqua Ball" at the Pompano Club.

The dance was Sunday night, and Chief Paul Lemoine said the 18-year-old Port Neches-Groves High School senior caused a disturbance and had to be taken into custody and charged with public intoxication of a minor.

Investigators say they know the teen did not get the alcohol at the Pompano Club, but they don't know who provided it to him.
