Port Arthur named 5th best small Texas city

Port Arthur has been named the fifth best small city in Texas by an online publication that rates cities from around the world for various different criteria.

The publication credited Port Arthur for its geographical proximity to three national wildlife refuges - the Sabine National Wildlife Refuge in Louisiana, the McFaddin National Wildlife Refuge and the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge.

Ranked atop the list is Rowlett, TX, a suburb of Dallas, because its median household income was 56% above the household average.

Ranged 11th in the list is Desoto, also a suburb of Dallas, because if "offers the perfect hub for everything that happens around the Dallas area.
