Port Arthur man charged with intoxication manslaughter

A Port Arthur man is facing charges after police say he caused a collision that left a woman dead.

Leroy Rideaux Junior, 27, is charged with intoxication manslaughter for rear-ending a car driven by Maria Guadeloupe Gonzales, 38, early Sunday morning on Memorial Boulevard in Port Arthur. 

Gonzales and her passenger were taken to the hospital where she died.

Rideaux was taken to the Jefferson County Jail after he was released from the hospital.  His bond has been set at $500,000.
