Police: Two charged after robbery, assault and kidnapping in Port Arthur

Port Arthur police have arrested and charged two men after a robbery and kidnapping Tuesday morning.  The men arrested are identified by police as Domminique Adams, 18, of Port Arthur and Bronson Oneal Williams, 25, of Port Arthur.

A police spokesperson said the robbery happened just before 2 a.m. at a house in the 1500 block of St. Augustine Avenue.  A frantic woman called  911 saying a group of men came to the house.  She said her boyfriend was held outside by one of the men while another forced her inside.  The news release says officers believe the woman was assaulted inside the home before the robbers forced her to leave with them in her car.  They made her drive to a business in the 2700 block of Memorial Drive and attempt to use her ATM card.   The woman was able to alert a clerk at the business and the robbers fled in her car.

Police questioned possible suspects and the investigation resulted in the arrest of Adams and Williams.

The woman was taken to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont for treatment.  The male victim was not physically harmed in the robbery.
