Wednesday marks one year since the murder of Aaron Leffage, 20, of Lumberton. Just one day before that tragic anniversary, Beaumont police believe they arrested the two men who killed him.
Tuesday night, police arrested Terry Frasier, 28, and Terry Euglon, 23. Both men are charged with capital murder.
The murder took place on July 3, 2012 in the 5200 block of Wilshire Street in Beaumont's north end.
The day of the murder, Beaumont Police Sgt. Rob Flores told 12News that two men dropped Leffage off at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth. He had serious injuries caused by blunt force. Hospital staff treated Laffage in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit where he died on July 5, 2012.
Police say evidence shows Frasier and Euglon robbed and assaulted Leffage.
Police have not released a motive, nor specified how Leffage was assaulted.
According to Beaumont detectives, the two had been suspects all along, but it took a year to gather enough evidence and put enough together to get the warrants.
Frasier and Euglon are in the Jefferson County Jail. Each is held on $1 million each.
