Beaumont police Wednesday arrested a woman accused of shoplifting for also attempting to stab store employees who confronted her.
Police say 23-year-old Brittany Sandoval of Beaumont was seen taking items from JC Penny at about 6 p.m.. They say when employees confronted the woman as she was walking outside, Sandoval pulled a knife and began slashing at them.
They say she dropped the knife and surrendered when a federal law enforcement official who was nearby and approached the confrontation.
Sandoval was charged with aggravated robbery.
