It's known as "Windows of Hope"; an initiative to get homeless pets adopted from the Humane Society of Southeast Texas.
Photographer Danny Keffer and his wife dress up animals at the shelter, snap their pictures, and put the pictures up around town on the windows of local businesses.
Keffer visits the shelter weekly, playing dress-up with the pups, in hopes someone will find their new best friend.
"It's just the funnest thing. It's real rewarding when you see someone adopt a dog because of the way you showed them that dog," said Keffer.
Keffer has been helping the shelter since December and has already seen a big increase in adoptions.
"It's kind of adds a little glamour to the shelter life that a lot of people might not think on first thought. Maybe after seeing some of these pictures, they'll realize that these animals are very good family pets that deserve a loving home," said Breeana Porter with the Humane Society of Southeast Texas.
