Some citizens of Orange met Saturday to voice their opinion about a proposal to build a memorial dedicated to Confederate veterans.
No one who attended Saturday's meeting spoke in favor of its proposed construction on Martin Luther King Boulevard in Orange.
The event was held at the American Legion Post 49 on Highway 87.
The panel was made up of local pastors and a few elected officials.
The proposed memorial is a project of the Sons of Confederate Veterans who say they want to honor their ancestors.
