No students hurt in morning school bus accident

No students were injured in an collision involving a Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD bus Thursday morning.

The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. on Highway 62.

District Spokesperson Sherry Combs said a Ford Mustang traveling south on Highway 62 passed a number of cars that were stopped as the bus turned left at the Blackshear crossing.  The Mustang hit the bus.

There was one student on the bus at the time.  The student was sitting on the right side of the bus. Both driver and student were uninjured.

There were two people in the Mustang that ran into the bus. One was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

No other information about the accident has been released at this time.
