No one injured, dog escapes unharmed, but house a total loss in Orange County fire

A house in Orange County is a total loss after a blaze in the 2200 block of Mansfield Ferry Road off of 105 near Vidor.

Firefighters with Orange County Emergency Services District #1 were called around 1:45 p.m.  Flames were coming out of the attic when they arrived.

Fire Chief Bryant Champagne told 12News that it took around an hour and a half to get the fire under control.  

Chief Champagne said a family of three lives at the house.  None of the family members were home at the time and the family's dog was able to get out of the house safely.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

The American Red Cross has been contacted to assist the family.
