Multiple train cars derail at Riverfront Park; police don't expect it to affect 4th of July...

Multiple train cars have derailed at the railroad tracks near Beaumont's Riverfront Park, that's behind City Hall.

The derailment happened at around 1:30 Thursday afternoon.

The cars were carrying grain, which spilled, but no one has been hurt.  There's no danger to the public.

It is a Union Pacific train.  The accident happened about 100 yards from the main stage for tonight's Fourth of July festivities.

The entrance to that area is blocked, but Beaumont Police Department's Public Information Officer Rob Flores says the area should be accessible in time for festivities to go on as planned.
