Man with 22 priors gets 25-year sentence for shooting at cop, robbery

A man accused of shooting at police has pleaded guilty to attempted capital murder of a peace officer and aggravated robbery.

Ronnie LaFleur pleaded guilty to shooting at Beaumont police offices during a January robbery at Kris Food Mart located in the 3000 block of Pine Street.

According to 12News file stories, Lafleur pulled a gun out of his pants and shot at officers while trying to leave the Mart.  The officers were not hit by bullets but LaFleur was struck several times.

LaFleur was sentenced Monday to 25 years for both charges as part of a plea deal.

LaFleur has 22 priors, mostly burglary charges.
