A Beaumont Police Department spokesperson has confirmed that for a man wanted for a sexual assault of a child that left a victim with two sexually transmitted diseases has been arrested.
Joshua Cole Williams, 24, was arrested around 2 p.m. Tuesday in Port Arthur a house in the 1700 block of Orange Street.
Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Spokesperson Rod Carroll says during the short period of time the community was alerted to Williams' fugitive status, Crime Stoppers received a record number of calls of his location.
Williams has been charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child. He is currently being held at the Jefferson County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
